Norman Crowley on Crowley Carbon -

In 2007, like everyone else in the world, I became extremely aware of the global warming threat to the planet. Up until then I had not quite believed the threat was so real and assumed it was the usual media scare mongering. There are however some frightening facts about our global growth projections in GDP and carbon dioxide, like the globally projected 15 fold increase in CO2 output between 2000 and 2050

I believe, like many that technology has a major part to play in resolving this threat as while the progress of humanity has got us into this mess, it may well also get us out of it. Also around this time we were extending our home in Dublin and so it was a great opportunity to test out many of the new efficiency and green technologies. While many products barely worked and many others offered paybacks in the 10 to 30 year time-frame there were also many technologies that were simple, improved the our quality of life and substantially reduced our energy bills.

I was frankly staggered that most companies, including my own were on one hand concerned about spiraling energy costs and on the other hand not making very some simple changes. In mid 2008, after 12 months of research which involved visits to Asia and the US we decided to establish Crowley Carbon.

Crowley Carbon is first and foremost a technology company. We exist primarily to save companies money which they are currently wasting. The fact that the business will do a lot of good for the planet is very exciting to us and something that will drive our passion to grow and expand both our products and our reach.

In order to ensure the best chance at success we have assembled a great team with experience in energy, technology, construction and both small and large corporations. Some of this team have worked with me since 1995 while we also have gathered together some fresh horses for this new adventure.

Thank you for visiting the site and we hope you come back soon to read about our latest progress and new products.

Best Regards,

Norman Crowley, Chairman.
