As owner of O'Toole's Super Valu in Tuam, one of the largest & most successful supermarkets in the West of Ireland, Joe O'Toole was determined to reduce energy costs. Crowley Carbon were engaged to devise a store-wide energy reduction programme, with a special emphasis on refrigeration costs. The project resulted in a 41% energy reduction in refrigeration, 70% drop in gas consumption and a store-wide energy reduction of 13%.
